Can you repair antic celluloid, tertulion and vinyl dolls?
In Policínica de Bebés we try to heal all our wounded patient. In our clinic we have our own team of repair and restoration professionals who are able to cure in 90% of cases. Sometimes the cure is only possible by using new pieces, in other cases through the restoration of the old parts. This is diagnosed individually for each patient. The decision of how to proceed, however, can only be taken at the time when the patient is in our hands. As a general rule, one could say that restorations do not result in a new doll. That means, that in rare cases, they may develop cracks or peeling color after some time.
How much does a repair or restoration cost?
This question is not so easy to answer. We can examine the patient upon request, and send you a cost estimate. In order to make this diagnosis, you would have to send your doll or stuffed animal to the Policlínca de Bebés. If you decide not to proceed with the cure, we will send you back the patient (shipping charges on you).
How do I package the dolls and what is the shipping address?
Most antique dolls are very fragile. Note that during transport packages often are not treated very carefully. We recommend to package the patient in a firm box, where there is enough space for the patient and the other stuffing to protect it. Please do not use newspapers as the ink may stain the patient. If your doll is very fragile and packaging wout not be appropriate, it can be damaged during transport, keep in mind that the patient will still have to make the way back home.

The Policlínica de Bebés can not be held responsible for damage caused by transportation, since we have no influence on the treatment of packages by the carrier. Transport damage will always go on the owner's expense.
Remember that you can always take advantage of a visit to Barcelona to personally bring the patient to us.
How much can it take to heal the patient?
We get patients from all over the world, so depending on the complexity of the treatment required by the patient, the repair time can be from 4 to 6 weeks, and in case of a restoration, it can reach up to 6 to 8 months. We appreciate your understanding and patience, and keep in mind that in our Policlínica de Bebés only the best professional care for our patients is offered in order to able to ensure adequate recovery.
Can you make clothes for dolls with special sizes ?
We have clothes in different sizes, and you can make special orders. Do not hesitate to ask for budget.
